Losing a beloved pet is always heartbreaking, but when that pet has touched the lives of so many people around the world, the loss feels even greater. The news of K’eyush’s passing has left a huge void in the hearts of everyone who followed his journey. His unique personality, comedic timing, and endless energy made him more than just a dog—he was a friend, a source of laughter, and a bright light for so many.
For those who may not be familiar with K’eyush, he was a husky-malamute mix with an enormous sense of humor. He had a way of making even the simplest things—rolling over, singing to TV ads, failing spectacularly at catching things—absolutely hilarious. His owner, Jodie, shared his antics with the world, and before long, he had a massive following of people who couldn’t get enough of his silly and lovable personality. Whether he was zooming across the floor, arguing about bath time, or pulling off his signature high-speed somersaults, K’eyush had a way of turning everyday moments into pure comedy gold. He wasn’t just a pet; he was an entertainer, a furry comedian who knew exactly how to make people laugh when they needed it most. His passing on February 3rd, 2025 was sudden and devastating, and while we’ll miss him terribly, the joy he brought to so many will never fade.
K’eyush wasn’t just a solo act, though. He was part of a bigger, loving canine family that includes Sherpa and Nanook (or Nook, as most people know him). Sherpa, a huskamute, was the wise and gentle adventurer of the group. His owner, Jamie, made sure that Sherpa lived the best life possible—one filled with travel, new experiences, and plenty of love. Unlike the boisterous K’eyush, Sherpa had a more relaxed and friendly demeanor, but he was no less entertaining. His adventures, often caught on camera, showed a dog who loved meeting new people, exploring new places, and just being by Jamie’s side. Sadly, Sherpa passed away on July 15, 2024, a sudden and unexpected loss that hit hard. Jamie, in a beautiful tribute, chose to keep Sherpa’s channel alive, allowing his memory to continue bringing smiles to people who are just discovering his adventures.
And then there’s Nanook—affectionately called Nook—who is still with us, keeping the legacy of love and joy alive. Nook is K’eyush’s big brother and Sherpa’s “sort of” nephew. It’s a bit of a complicated family tree, but what matters is the bond they all shared. Nook is a fun-loving husky with a big heart, always ready for adventure with his best friends, Kane and Brea. He carries on the spirit of playfulness and companionship that K’eyush and Sherpa embodied. His owner, Sue, has been a constant source of love and support for him, just as she was for Sherpa and Jamie.
Behind these incredible dogs are the humans who love them. Jodie, who shared K’eyush’s hilarious personality with the world; Jamie, who made sure Sherpa lived a full and adventurous life; and Sue, who not only supported Jamie but also cares for Nook and plays a huge role in this amazing canine family. Their dedication and the way they let the world be part of their dogs’ journeys is something truly special.
It’s hard to say goodbye to K’eyush and Sherpa, but their stories aren’t over. Their videos, their antics, and their joy continue to bring smiles to new viewers every day. And with Nook still here, we’re reminded that love and laughter don’t fade—they live on in the memories we cherish and the bonds we build. Rest easy, K’eyush and Sherpa. You were more than just dogs—you were family to so many, and you’ll never be forgotten.
